It was 20 degrees and the sleet was coming down hard. The Alaskan winds came at us from Canada. Ok, maybe not that bad, but being from LA, that is what it felt like to me. If the temps get under 65 that is like riding through a Winter storm to me.
The ride was led by Laura and that meant only hills. Dave knew what to expect, and I think is becoming a bit of a Laura protegee. I am starting to worry about him. John and Jon had never ridden with Laura and I think may not again. That said, it was a good three hr ride with a crappy 20 minute decent of Page Mill heading home (cold, wet and steep).
Good to have a CoreTechs Cycling Team ride and looking forward to many more...once the sun comes out!

The ride was great! And if I can ever walk again, I promise to get right back on the bike. ;-)
ReplyDeleteI can't believe we did 5000 feet of climbing my first day back on the bike! I had never ridden that direction up the West side of Page Mill (is that Alpine?) so now I have a new route.
It looks like it's supposed to rain a lot the next few days, so I guess it is back on the trainer.
Happy holidays everyone,
JP
